# Supplier Quality Management Software | Qualio

Qualify, monitor, and audit suppliers with approved lists, questionnaires, and scorecards, linked directly into CAPAs. Built for ISO 13485 §7.4 and FDA QMSR.

## Qualify, monitor and audit suppliers

Approve suppliers against your policy, keep each one’s questionnaires, scorecard, audits and quality events on its profile, and export the approved supplier list.

## Your supplier policy, applied to every supplier.

Set the documents, questionnaires and audits each supplier type and risk level needs, so a new supplier cannot go for approval until its required documents are in.

## Audits on a schedule set by risk.

Each supplier’s audits are recorded on its profile, on a cadence set by its type and risk level, so the next audit date sits on the supplier list.

## Supplier performance from real events.

Link a nonconformance, complaint or SCAR to the supplier involved, so Supplier Analytics shows each supplier’s events when you review or audit them.

## An approved supplier list in one click.

Export the list as a dated PDF, or one supplier with its documents and audit files, so nothing is assembled by hand for the auditor.

## Platform connections

### CAPAs, NCRs and deviations

Event tasks assigned to a supplier, such as a SCAR response, appear on that supplier’s profile with a link back to the event.

### Document Control

A supplier’s supporting documents can be linked to controlled Qualio documents, so a quality agreement stays under version control.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### What is supplier quality management?

Supplier quality management is how a regulated company qualifies, approves and monitors the suppliers whose materials and services affect its product, with controls scaled to each supplier’s risk. ISO 13485 clause 7.4, FDA QMSR and cGMP all require it. In Qualio, your supplier policy sets the documents and audits each supplier needs.

### What is an approved supplier list?

An approved supplier list (ASL) is the controlled list of suppliers a company has qualified to use, usually with each supplier’s type, risk level, intended use and audit dates. Auditors ask for it to check that purchasing uses only qualified suppliers. In Qualio it exports as a PDF with a cover sheet showing who generated it and when.

### How often should suppliers be audited?

It depends on risk. Many procedures audit critical suppliers on site every one to three years, assess lower-risk suppliers by questionnaire, and audit sooner after a significant quality issue. In Qualio the audit cadence for each supplier type and risk level is set in your supplier policy, and the next due date shows on the supplier list.

### What is a SCAR?

A SCAR, or supplier corrective action request, asks a supplier to investigate a problem it caused, find the root cause and fix it, with evidence the fix worked. It is usually raised from a nonconformance or a failed incoming inspection. In Qualio a SCAR is an event linked to the supplier, and its tasks appear on the supplier’s profile.

### How do you track supplier performance?

Track the quality events each supplier causes, such as nonconformances, complaints and SCARs, alongside audit results and the other measures your procedure sets. In Qualio, you rate suppliers on scorecards, link events to the supplier involved, and Supplier Analytics shows each supplier’s events, overdue audits and approval times.
